eSentire Saves 50% In Analytical Costs And Helps Protect Customers from Security Threats

As we think about security, there's kind of different lenses that we are looking at our customers' environments through. For us, we really come back to thinking about the kind of full visibility from every angle. So we wanna be able to see it from the network side, from the endpoint side, and from the cloud and log, perspective. All of these are petabyte scale problems on a daily basis.

We've on over twenty petabytes of, log data that we are kind of analyzing to find security events at our customers. First and foremost, Snowflake, let us move faster. Right? And so in this kind of adversarial landscape, the pace that you move at is the thing that allows you to really differentiate for your customers.

And so, you know, protecting our customers is the most important mission we have at eSentire. And Snowflake has allowed us to bring all the different data sources we have available together in one place. And that's that's what, allows us to innovate and bring customers those, that protection that that they're coming to us for. We were previously had analytic workflows, that were different Power BI tables and operational, metrics that our security, analyst teams use.

And so we were able to cut those costs in half and compare it to the previous solution. And so by using Snowflake, we completely replaced the previous workflows, built them on top of the data mesh so it even opened up, you know, additional context that we could bring into the reporting while reducing the cost. So it was a massive win for us. One of the key capabilities eSentire delivers for its customers is real time protection.

We've been able to now start moving off of some of our legacy databases to hybrid tables, and that's enabled us to, take on those transactional workloads and, simplify and accelerate our development progress using Snowflake as a platform. And so our customers can real time configure via hybrid tables and that immediately feeds through the detection investigation response steps that eSentire implements for them. Snowflake has enabled eSentire to implement enterprise AI strategies, and we've been able to do that at scale using the privacy and governance features in ways that would have been very cost prohibitive for us to implement on the other platforms we had been using. But now we can inherently use the controls of the Snowflake platform and be able to trust that the way that our Gen AI is accessing data adheres to their governance and privacy controls. And so one of the things that we're doing from a Gen AI perspective is kind of taking, customer natural language questions and allowing them to pose those and then retrieve data from Snowflake and, you know, translate it back to the customer, before the kind of development cycle for those questions would be a long time, and we'd only been able to, you know, enable certain answers and reporting through, developing a whole user experience around it.

Now we're kind of able to open that up and let customers ask questions of any of the data that we have. So whereas before, the analyst might have had to manually investigate and take steps, we're now able to, you know, leverage the underlying power of Snowflake via Gen AI to kind of coherently, distill that data down to just the key aspects that allows an analyst to make a quick and effective high quality decision.
